Building the Clubhouse

Parents and children re-worked the path of roofing shingles. Parents brought power tools and extension cords. Adults roofed the clubhouse without children's help. Children worked at nailing scrap lumber to outside-- but it became necessary to use siding to make the structure weather-proof before winter. The owner of the preschool donated siding and she and her husband put it up. Plexiglas was used on the top part of the walls to let in the light. The owner also put the shingles on the top of the clubhouse since this was a task that children could not safely participate in.
